The University of Wisconsin men’s basketball program will honor Frank Kaminsky by hanging his jersey in the rafters at the Kohl Center.
Kaminsky, who’s in his third season with the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets, will be honored Feb. 15 during halftime of the Badgers’ game against visiting Purdue.
According to a news release, the No. 44 jersey will remain in circulation at UW. Kaminsky’s number will be the second to hang in the Kohl Center rafters, joining Ab Nicholas’ No. 8.
The University of the Wisconsin will officially retire Frank Kaminsky’s No. 44 jersey during a halftime ceremony on Feb. 15 during the Badgers game against Purdue.
The 2015 consensus National Player of the Year is currently in his third season with the Charlotte Hornets and will make the trip to Madison during the NBA All-Star Break to take part in the celebration.

The power forward who led the Wisconsin Badgers to back-to-back Final Four appearances and a national championship appearance in 2015 will have his number retired in February during a halftime ceremony during the Badgers-Purdue game.

The 2015 consensus National Player of the Year will be in attendance for the Badgers’ men’s basketball game against Purdue and the University of the Wisconsin will officially retire his No. 44 jersey during a halftime ceremony.
